The monsoon that rendered the safari in Nagarhole impossible made the trip to Irpu falls memorable.
Thousands of tons of cascading water, originating from the mythical hole created by the arrow Laxman shot into Brahmagiri, gushed rapidly to become a tributary of River Cauvery called Laxman Tirtha. The hike to the falls is short and simple. Take some salt with you to get the leeches off your feet.
