A team outing took us to Nagarhole National Park.
Situated along the banks of the river Kabini, Nagarhole is a mere 250 KMs from Bangalore. It boasts the highest Tiger density in India and is one of the best forests to see elephants at close quarters.
The safari was closed on the day because of unexpected heavy rain and we had to do with the deer, elephants and bison we spotted on the drive.
The dense deciduous jungle is under consideration for being declared a UNESCO World heritage site.
[Stayed at Jungle Inn. (p) 08222-246022 (m) 9448271975. Awesome place. Just outside the gates of Kabini.]
