Rhea spotted a Peruvian mom with an extremely cute kid. The cute kid held an extremely cute lamb. The trio sat in the middle of nowhere doing nothing. I would be surprised if their association lasts beyond the evening (disproportionate) tips distribution ceremony. This is a very common site in Peru and would be irritating for the fact that they do provide fabulous photo opportunities and are very undemanding about money.
A short walk away from Tambo Machay lie the pink ruins of Puka Pukara.
A quick glance at the significant uninterrupted view the site enjoys, coupled with the stones terraces and bastions, this is obviously a military installation. A watch tower that guards the road to the sacred valley. Unless it is a royal hunting lodge which it probably was. :)
