Sunset at Horseshoe bend, Page, AZ
This is easily the most dangerous photo I have taken. I was sitting on the absolute edge of the canyon, the walls plummeting down straight a 1000 feet. Sitting on the vertigo inducing, orange washed rocks I thought, one slip of the foot and I could be ketchup!
The Colorado river nowadays meanders lazily looking nowhere like the raging beast that sliced through the rock relentlessly for over a million years. This spot is easily the top sunset points in USA. The most breathtaking foreground against the most breathtaking background, not to forget the life taking plunge.
This sit-and-stare spot is a mere 3 miles outside Page in Arizona, so close by that that I actually went there the next day at sunrise and enjoyed a totally different treatment of light.
